How to convert satoshis to USD

USD value = sats ÷ 100,000,000 × current BTC price

Bitcoin is divisible into 100 million satoshis. First convert sats to BTC by dividing by 100,000,000, then multiply by the current BTC-to-USD price.

For example, at a hypothetical Bitcoin price of $100,000, 10,000 sats equal 0.0001 BTC, or $10. The dollar value changes whenever Bitcoin’s market price changes. The example is for explaining the formula, not a current price quote.
